Highly recommended from a dog lover who had dogs have his life

This product I love my dog is 16. to get out and be able to walk normal asked to use it for 16 years has limited because of physical condition is a sable but this allowed him to regulate the temperature back to normal Alyssa where he’s comfortable to walk around and all we have to do is pour cold water or just regular water temperature and I’ve been checking the temperature on that fast and the best stays between 59 and 65° regardless of what the temperatures of Saralee

This vest is pretty amazing. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it does the job pretty well, keeping my pup cool in the dry and hot weather.I give four stars only because it is a tad bit large on my dog. He’s in between sizes, so I had to go with the larger one, because I didn’t want to get too small of a size, and there’s a bit of wiggle room. It hasn’t posed as a problem when we use it thus far, it’s just a little baggy on him. Can’t really be helped when your dog is in between sizes though.Other than that, it works great.

Works!

We travel to Lakes frequently in the summer. Sometimes it is hard to keep the dogs cool. We have an older Schnauzer who hates getting in the water and an Airedale puppy who we’ve ordered two for -since she grew out of the small so fast. These vests were amazing! It was over 100* during the day and didn’t cool down much at night. Dogs would pant and pace without their vests. Dipped the vests in the lake at night before bed and they’d settle right down and go to sleep. I recommend them to all my dog lover friends. –i foresee myself ordering the large soon too as she is growing like a weed!

Keeps her cool even in direct sunlight

I own a 7 month old French Bulldog that weighs a little more than 15 pounds and I was very concerned with sizing when I ordered this, because I had just enough time to order and receive this before we left on an ocean fishing trip. I ordered the small and it fits her perfectly with room to grow. Love the fact that it has 2 zippers and the drawstring to tighten or loosen the fit on the dog. I love the fact the arm holes are large enough they don’t rub her considering how wide her frame is. Loving this vest & for the price it does it’s job and keeps her cool and not in danger of overheating.

Alright, pictures are after using it… it did come clean! We really liked this vest. Our dog is half husky and he has a lot of fur. Prior hikes he just stops and sits (this is a puppy with lots of energy), once he found a mud spot and just laid in it! With the vest on, his energy level stayed up. It made a huge difference!!It stayed wet for a few hours. Top dries really fast, but the under side was still wet and providing relief. Ideal is a lake and you can soak it. When we didn’t have a lake, I used an entire water bottle to soak it good. You have to get the water deep inside for best effect. It’s a pretty thick vest. You almost have to work the water down deep. (Once the vest was dry from the day hike, we left it on him when it got cold at night… little extra warmth??)His chest is 22” and the medium was perfect. We used the normal zipper (it has two – the other will give you an extra inch), and didn’t need to tighten it at all around his belly. This is not stretchy fabric.We didn’t use the rings to attach a leash (we were on off leash trails), but they look super sturdy. All of it seems really sturdy, and very well made. Stuck it in the washer with cold water and hung to dry and it washes well.For dogs that get hot, on hikes with no shade… this is amazing!!

Great cooling vest for xl pup

My pup loves his vest. He is typically panting and overheating quickly. When wearing the vest he rarely gets too warm or even pants. He can play for much longer. We originally ordered the xxl. He is a 90 lb stocky swissy and pit mix. We went by measurements. However it was a bit large so we ordered the xl. It was snug but fit perfectly and the harness part was a definite perk. I would not depend on the harness to control a dog that has serious leash reaction but for general control while playing or walking it works well.

South Idaho desert and one chilled puppo

My puppo likes to pull, and this has some excellent durability.We live in southern Idaho where the desert gets scorching hot. It works exactly like it should with a swamp cooler effect when the sun hits it.She loves it. Great value for the price. My only critique which doesn’t really effect the star rating is getting her to step through the aligning holes for her feet, but that is more a symptom of her stubborn self, not the product.

Amazing Vest! Instant Coolness & Calmness~^ Puppy Approved!

Wow! Wonderful Vest~* I can’t believe how this vest instantly relaxes my 4month old puppy after running around & panting. Napped for a while with it on & able to easily go potty. Love!

Our fluffy dog loves this vest! She is old and extra fluffy and black. We live in Wales and it gets hot and the days are so long that it is hard to wait late enough to take her for a walk in the shade. We wet this and wring it a little and put this on her for her 15 minute walk and it is still cool underneath when we get back. She loves her walks but would get so hot before but now she’s still walking well and happy tail wagging when she gets home. It is made much better than I expected and I really like how the built in lead goes through the vest. Also the reflective parts are nice too. I wash it once a week in the washer and hang to dry.

Great for hot days

My black lab mix likes to be active, but gets hot extremely fast because of her fur color. We use it mainly for walks and hikes where there isn’t a river or lake that she can cool down in, and it works pretty well. I soak it in cold water and put it in a ziplock and it will stay cool for an hour or so. It does drip initially, but that’s not an issue. The vest seems a bit loose(good length-wise) but most items are because she is quite trim. If you have a rounder dog they also have a second zipper for some breathing room! It does have a buckle, but I wouldn’t trust it and just use her collar and leash. Overall, a very well made item!

Good product!

I chose this vest because I needed something that would protect my dog from the sun and keep him cool. The fact that you can clip a leash into the vest means I can tether him to the boat so he doesn’t jump off. I had another vest that didn’t cool him off but I bought this and works amazingly. Overall this is a good product and does those 3 things for me.

XL leaves room around the neck of 51lb English bulldog

I ordered an XL for my 11 month old 51lb English bulldog. I’m going to order a large and compare the fit. The XL leaves a little neck room, and my baby girl is a real tuff pup. She’s always looking to start something with every new dog she sees. So I need more of a straight jacket fit for her. She’ll pull out of the XL if we try to walk with it. I do like that the harness loops are metal for this size, they look strong and sturdy. If the large doesn’t fit, I’ll keep the XL and just use it after walks to cool off.

Great for a dog that has Cushing’s 🙂

Perfect 🙂 my Yorker has Cushing’s disease, and his body will sometimes become overworked, when he’s at rest, therefore increasing his body temp, which results with him panting. We bought the cooling vest to help with that. We wet th best, wring it out, and stick it in the fridge for when he starts panting. We then put his vest on him, and stick him in front of a soft breeze, and it cools him down and remedies the panting. He’ll even fall asleep with it on because it keeps him cool (not cold) as a cucumber. Best investment for a dog that has Cushings 🙂

Great investment for senior dog with LP!

This cooling vest absolutely works like other reviews state. I was hesitating on shelling out the money on a cooling vest not knowing if they’d actually work or not. My senior lab has LP and HAS to be kept cooler in the heat in the summer or he overheats and can no longer breathe. While he still gets hosed off to cool him down anytime we go out in the backyard, this vest has done wonders in helping too. It’s shockingly cool when feeling the top of the vest versus underneath next to his fur. When it dries out, simply pouring more water over it rewets it. It’s great to put on for longer road trips too even with AC in the car. The Cooling vest is absolutely worth it though! Have recommended it to anyone that has asked about it while he’s wearing it. Worth the investment! He’s 97lb yellow lab and wore an XXL. Possibly could’ve gone with an XL, but the XXL is still great.

It works so far

I have used this vest dozens of times for forest runs. It’s still hot here in September and October so I gets tons of yearly use. I ordered a L for my 55-60 lb Aussie mix. He is obedience trained and runs easily with me but the heat gets to him. The vest helps him and helps me feel secure he won’t have heat stroke running 5 miles is 90+ F. I rinse and hang dry. I have had over a year with no issues w tearing or size.

Better than a Thunder Shirt Too!!! Great purchase.

This cool vest arrived in few days! Excellent quality. The main reason I purchased this vest for my Yorkie was because we have a Mercedes convertible. Up until now, we had issues with it being too hot for her in the summer. Our little girl would pant and found it was near impossible to keep her cool. I tried everything from ice bags to Mission scarves, until now! This did the trick, cool and calm, now she enjoys the ride and so can I. She is 10lbs with a 17” girth, so I sized up to small and even though somewhat loose, it is comfortable. Also, it solved another issue today. During a thunder storm, she began panting and pacing, as usual. Nothing calmed her down until I put on her Cool Vest! OMG she is calmed and resting comfortably. NOTE: I did not wet it this time. It still seemed cool to the touch. Who knew! I am so happy with this purchase. So much better than the Thunder shirt. I chose this one because of the reflective fabric AND the D rings/harness for her leash as well as her car seat attachment. All the way around, better than expected, well worth every cent. I am purchasing different colors now. She is so comfortable!

Works!

This has been a great help for our boxer. They are typically a breed that over heats easily and since she loves her walks, even in our scorching summer months, we had to find a solution. I would be curious to see if a size down would fit better but as this goes, it works so don’t fix it.Now, I completely soak it in the sink the night before, put it in a leak proof bag (kitchen trash bag) and pop it in the fridge so it’s stays nice and cool. On occasion I have forgotten to do this procedure and opted for the freezer for half hour or so. That works too.Launders beautifully!

Absolutely works!

We’ve only done two walks with it so far, but it’s already been fantastic. My Staffy hates heat above 75, and especially with the warm sun in UK, she’s been miserable on any walk during the day for the last few weeks. I was completely skeptical that this would help, it seemed thick and sounded sketchy, but it absolutely works. We just went on a 30 minute walk in 75 degree weather with a strong warm sun, which would normally involve lots of hiding in the shade and panting hard when we got home, but she stayed cool as a cucumber. Her chest measured around 35 inches, and the XL size is snug but not too tight.
